(image) In today's globalized world specialist knowledge toghether with an expertise in English language, culture and society is indispensable for employment in the new Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) based education in primary and secondary schools, and for research in Language, Literature and Culture leading to a PhD, as well as for consulting, business, policy, and administration.

This MA degree in Advanced English Studies provides the necessary training for pursuing a career in any profession where English is relevant. Applicants to the program will have a chance to follow up-to-date content, theory, and methods courses in both areas of language and teaching as well as in literature and culture and taught by highly qualified lecturers and researchers who have an internationally established academic and research trajectory. This program is also unique in the Catalan academic context in that it is the only degree that offers courses entirely in English thereby giving students a chance to practice their language skills while furthering their training in a particular field.
