(image) Inaugural Meeting - EMCA Doctoral Network
7-8 June 2014 - University of Edinburgh, Scotland
Plenary speaker: Professor Liz Stokoe, Loughborough University
This is the first in a series of biannual meetings for doctoral students undertaking research in the allied fields of Ethnomethodology and Conversation Analysis. These meetings shall establish, build and support a doctoral research community across the UK and Europe.
Each meeting will offer a flexible mix of workshops, data sessions, reading groups and presentations. The idea is to provide an informal environment for students to come and share ideas, ask questions, showcase research, etc. We also want to encourage and emphasise these events as opportunities to socialise and network with your EMCA peers.
Cost: This event is free to doctoral students in the UK. Student attendees outside of the UK will be required to pay an attendance fee (to be confirmed).
Lunch and refreshments throughout the day will be provided. We plan to go out for dinner/an evening social event on the 7th June; please indicate to Tim Smith (Esta dirección de correo electrónico está siendo protegida contra los robots de spam. Necesita tener JavaScript habilitado para poder verlo.) if you would like to attend.
Student participants should also indicate if they would like to volunteer the following for a session:
A full schedule will be sent out to attendees in due course.
Registration: Places are limited.
